Governments
should spend more money on basic needs. Currently,
governments do not spend sufficient money on providing
food, clothing or shelter for homeless people. How
can spending huge amounts of money on technology be
justified, when large numbers of people are forced
to live in makeshift shelters and scavenge for food?
Computers and other technology should be paid for privately
by those who can afford them. The government should concentrate
on spending its money on services that are available
to everyone and, especially, on satisfying fundamental
human needs for those people who are unable to do so
themselves. (98 words)
