ルームメイト/roommate
〜を分担する/share
家庭内の仕事/household chores
他人に対する思いやり/consideration for others
First,
a good roommate must be clean. Roommates that are dirty can end up leaving
unwashed dishes behind, leaving his/her clothes lying everywhere, and causing
many big arguments to result. Second, a good roommate needs to be considerate.
This involves thinking about the other people who share the home with the
roommate. A thoughtful roommate would not take up the washroom every morning.
He/she would also remember not to hog the phone. Third, a roommate needs
to be kind. He/she would not hesitate to lend a helping hand to his/her roommate
at the appropriate time. By being clean, considerate, and kind, roommates
can become great friends even many years after they graduate from university.
