Agree
first one…
I agree that advertising encourages us to buy things
we really do not need. Usefulness of the product does
not matter to the advertising agency. They have a product
that they are paid to sell to the public. They will therefore
attempt to sell us a new car, new house, new clothes,
or new hair color by telling us that these things will
make us happy. Without their product we will fade into
the crowd, never get a date, etc… They convince us that
happiness comes from being the envy of our friends and
neighbors in order to sell their products. They are experts
at getting us to buy things we do not need. (114 words)
Agree second one…
Advertising tells us about new products that can make
our lives easier and more enjoyable. While showing us
new products, advertising also helps to lower the price
of the magazine or newspaper it is in. This makes reading
the news an affordable or even free activity. Although
advertising is designed to tempt us to buy the product
displayed, free will and self-knowledge helps us to know
which products will really be beneficial. This awareness
helps us avoid buying things we don't really need. By
helping the public receive information cheaply or freely,
advertising enriches our knowledge of the world in addition
to telling us about new products that are available.(101words)
