We studied “Makura no
Soshi” in Japanese
classes at school. The
work was very interesting,
so we made this movie as
the Asahi version. We made
this to convey the charm
of every 4 season in
Asahi. This is the works
of the presentation
contest in English lessons.

The fact that we have the
Great Buddha in Gifu is not
known much to people.
I made this movie because
I wanted to know why this
Buddha was built here in Gifu.
Through my research,
I understood Kano chochin
and Kano wagasa were used for
this Buddha. I hope many
people visit Gifu and see
this Buddha.

We don't have any large
supermarkets in Hida
Furukawa area. But we
have many things that
we're proud of, for
example, great nature,
delicious food and
wonderful local festivals
and so on. We named these
things “Fantastic Furukawa.”
We hope that many people watch
this movie and come to our
hometown.
